The Telemarkfestival 2012BASIC INFOS: For people who do not own their own equipment (yet), we provide telemark
skis and telemark boots. But you should bring your own clothing and
polls . In recent years, our material has always served everyone, but we
want to point out that we can not guarantee that we have Rent and Test
material in the appropriate size for all participants..
Our workshops with the trainers and telemark instructors of the German
Ski Federation (German: DSV) are offered in all skill levels. From the
beginner to the piste skiers and freeriders. For enthusiastic fans of
the free heel, there is even a special treat: You can do the DSV
scholarship course. Entitled to participate in an examination, screening
on course for telemark training (basic or instructor) in the DSV.

Wednesday
We meet on Wednesday
evening at 18.00 in the Walserhaus in Hirschegg for registration. There you can
receive your event package and sign up for an appropriate group of our
workshops. Our top sponsor Meckatzer will provide us again this year with a
delicious welcome beer
Thursday
The event office is open
from 8.15 and is located in the valleystation of Kanzelwandbahn. You can
find it right after the entrance (south side) on the right side. The Local
History Workshops start at 9:30 on the top station of the Kanzelwandbahn. Our
instructors will wait there with signs that you may find the right guides
rightaway. Note to all "telemark beginners": Even you start from
there. After the first few hours in the snow every group will have a
lunch-break. The noon lunch on Thursday and Friday is included in the package
price!
On Thursday evening we will meet at 19:00 in the Walserhaus (Location of
registration on Wednesday evening). We celebrate this evening with our own true
"freeride cooking." That means a number of talented chefs conjure
regional meals for us at an open kitchen in front of our eyes! Be surprised and
look forward to this extraordinary culinary event.
Friday
As Thursday the event
office is open again from 8.15.
The workshops will start as the previous day at 9.30 at the output of
Kanzelwandbahn mountain station. Similarly, there are obligatory lunches for
all participants.
A special treat awaits us on Friday afternoon. Right after the workshops, we
meet near the valley station for the apres-ski. And so when we dance on the
floor we don’t get too hot, we can do one or another waterslide at sunset. Like
last year, Telemark club Kleinwalsertal provides us again with specialties from
the Allgäu and Walser home, with refreshing drinks and even cocktails ;-)
Saturday
Saturday is race day! It's
about the titles of the German Cup Telemark 2012. We will be delighted ifmany participants compete in the battle for
the championship title. All other details can be found under the menu item Ger.
Championship, or the day of the race at site. We will compete again this year
with the workshop groups, so that really all have the opportunity to casually
carve around the gates. In addition, workshops will be held on Saturday as well
with our experienced instructors. Thus, all participants have the opportunity
to participate in weekend trips with our telemark instructors.
The large "Aufundniederimmerwieder Party 2012" will take place on
Saturday evening at the Sweet Life. The Sweet Life is THE nightclub in the
Valley and is located under the casino. And now absolutely outrageous: the top
band HMBC plays for us and will provide a fantastic mood this evening. (Who
doesn’t know HMBC click here: Vo Mello bis ge Schoppornou) The warm-up is the award
ceremony for German Telemark Championship 2012 – for the winners again there
are very interesting and nice prices.
Sunday
The Walser have invented
it! ... again Sunday. We will spend Sunday in the Kanzelwand, cruising on the
slopes of the Kanzelwand and Fellhorn. A Brunch is provide, which we perhaps
can enjay on the sun deck of the top restaurant of the Kanzelwand. The Last Run
starts around 13:00 clock on the slopes of the Sonngehren-chairlift. Over 300
telemark skiers will have the last run of the day. Not-telemarkers better take
cover :-)
